Amazon will soon be available in a coffee shop near you.
In midtown Manhattan, the business is partnering with Starbucks to open a cashier-less pickup café. It has Amazon Go technology, which means you can get your drink or more food options from Amazon with simply a swipe of your credit card or hand.
The company’s first facility opened yesterday, with at least two more planned by the end of the year.
Amazon’s continued experimentation with physical shopping will be fascinating to observe. It will be intriguing, and it’ll be excellent for New York City.
